Congo & Beyond (C&B) aims to empower the next generation of African Christians to impact their sectors of society in order to impart the Kingdom mindset in Congo and the Beyond.
Congo and Beyond (C&B) exists to provide discipleship training, coaching and mentoring to the next generation of African leaders to impart a Kingdom mindset in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and beyond.
In response to Jesus’ recommendation to his disciples to be witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8) Nehemie would want to see God use Congo & Beyond for a general awareness in the African Church about the task ahead and help train the next generation for the big harvest/mission because, according to some estimates, four out of five Christians will be in the Global South by the year 2050, many being in Africa. This means in the next 25 years missionaries from the global south and especially from Africa will be needed in the West and the rest of the world! But is the church in the global south and Africa aware of that Macedonian call and what are we doing towards this end?
In order to respond to this Macedonian call C&B set up a mentoring strategy that allows elders to invest their experience, wisdom, and values to younger generations. This is starting already with a program that brings together retired pastors (Gamaliels) to meet at a weekly basis with young pastors (Pauls) and discuss some real-life issues, as young people draw from the wisdom of elders and pass it to the next generation (Timothies). This strategy will expand to other sectors of professional life to help nurture the next generation of African leaders.
